NHS 111

Outside of our opening hours a full emergency service is available weekends evenings and bank holidays. The service is called NHS 111. Your call will be answered by an advisor who will ask some questions to assess your symptoms.  111 will give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you to the appropriate local service for example: Devon Doctors, Minor Injuries Unit, Emergency Department, Community Nurse or Pharmacy.  

Note: calls to and from these services may be recorded.

At NHS Walk-In Centres you can expect to receive healthcare advice, information and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries eg :

Coughs, Colds and Flu like symptoms  

Throat Infections                                                      Eye/Ear Infections

Bladder Infections                                                    Skin Complaints

BP Checks                                                               Sinusitis

Ear Syringing                                                           Bites/Stings Cuts and Wounds (no sutures)

Repeat Dressings                                                     Suture Removal Muscle and Joint Pain  

The family Planning Clinic is also based at the Sidwell Street Walk-In Centre
